During the night between Friday and Saturday, in the early morning hours of 10 June 2017, the Lord called back to Him a great man, Father Peter Hocken.
He died at the age of almost 85. He was a servant of God, a friend, a priest who loyally served the Body of Christ until his last breath, all the world round. The Lord gave him an extraordinary intellect and wisdom, together with the experience of baptism in the Holy Spirit. He also received from God the talent and ability to provide specific and comprehensible theological explanations and descriptions of spiritual experiences that are taking place within the Church, notably after the Second Vatican Council. - Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Mama inak obdarovaného Janka
Inak obdarený - Bohom milovaný
Ako často šomreme na zmenené životné okolnosti, problémy a sme so všetkým nespokojní - so sebou, so svojimi obmedzeniami... Áno, sme limitovaní dĺžkou pozemského života, rodinou, schopnosťami, povinnosťami, zodpovednosťami... ale či nám Boh nedal dosť darov, talentov na to, aby sme boli vo svojom živote šťastní, pokojní, vďační a nereptali?
Jedného dňa som sa vrátila domov z práce unavená, doma ma čakali povinnosti a problémy. Nedokázala som sa usmiať, nemala som síl pekným slovom povzbudiť svojho inak obdareného syna Janka, ktorý na mňa celý deň čakal...
Bola som v pokušení: Si unavená, odpočiň si, vonku je sychravo, ostaň doma a urob si pohodlie pri šálke horúceho čaju a nejakom filme v televízii. Už - už som chcela dať súhlas, keď mi Janko hovorí: ,,Ty dnes nepôjdeš na svätú omšu?!” Synova otázka ma zarazila, pretože ležal v posteli so silnými bolesťami hlavy. Pokračoval: ,,Keď nemôžem ísť ja, choď aspoň ty namiesto mňa a pomodli sa za mňa.” Premohla som teda svoju lenivosť ospravedlňovanú únavou tela a išla som do kostola.
Sadla som si do lavice v snahe sústrediť svoje myšlienky a pripraviť si dušu na prijatie Pána.
Ale nedokázala som to, moju dušu premohla úzkosť, bolesť a nemohúcnosť ovplyvniť svoje životné okolnosti. Zrazu som pocítila teplo niečieho láskyplného objatia. Môj pohľad sa s údivom uprel na radostný úsmev a svetlom žiariace oči tiež ,,inak obdarenej” Mariky z nášho spoločenstva. Neubránila som sa dojatiu z prejavenej lásky a uvedomila som si, aký je Boh úžasný a dokáže nám byť tak blízko.
Pochopila som, ako slabí, tí, ktorí zdanlivo nič nemajú, dokážu obohatiť ostatných. Akí sú veľmi bohatí svojou láskou, pretože sú Bohom veľmi milovaní.
Na tejto svätej omši som potom naplnená radosťou z hĺbky srdca ďakovala a velebila Boha za syna Janka, ktorý ma ,,priviedol” do Božieho chrámu aj za Mariku, prostredníctvom ktorej mi Boh dal spoznať, že každý sme pre Ježiša jedinečný a milovaný.
